What We Believe
Rooted in Scripture. Centered on Christ. Guided by Grace.
At Sola Soul Brewing, we believe in the absolute authority and sufficiency of Scripture, the sovereignty of God in salvation, and the call to live out our faith in truth and love. Our commitment is to historical, biblical Christianity as affirmed through the Five Solas of the Reformation.
1. The Bible
We believe that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Scripture alone is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
2. The Triune God
We believe in one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit(Matthew 28:19). Each person is fully God, equal in power and glory.
3. The Person & Work of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners (Isaiah 7:14, Hebrews 4:15, 2 Corinthians 5:21). He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return to judge the living and the dead.
4. Salvation by Grace Alone, Through Faith Alone, in Christ Alone
We affirm that salvation is entirely by grace, apart from works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Sinners are justified by faith alone in Christ alone, whose righteousness is imputed to us (Romans 3:23-25, Galatians 2:16).
5. The Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit regenerates sinners, indwells believers, and empowers them to live holy lives (John 3:5-6, Galatians 5:22-23).
6. The Church
We believe in the universal Church, composed of all true believers, and the local church, where believers gather for worship, teaching, fellowship, and mission (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:25).
7. The Return of Christ
We believe in the visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to establish His eternal kingdom, judge the world, and make all things new (Revelation 22:12, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
8. The Five Solas
Our faith is anchored in the foundational truths of the Reformation:
• Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone) – The Bible is our ultimate authority.
• Sola Fide (Faith Alone) – We are justified by faith, not works.
• Sola Gratia (Grace Alone) – Salvation is a gift of God’s grace.
• Solus Christus (Christ Alone) – Jesus is the only mediator between God and man.
• Soli Deo Gloria (To God Alone Be the Glory) – We live for God’s glory, not our own.
Our Commitment
We seek to glorify God by fostering a community of deep biblical study, theological clarity, and Christ-centered fellowship. We are not here to tickle ears, but to dig deep into the Word of God, challenge one another in truth, and live faithfully in light of eternity.
